Overstrand

Overstrand is a quiet coastal village just east of Cromer, with a history as an Edwardian retreat for the wealthy - it was known as the "Village of Millionaires" at the turn of the last century and the Poppyland area became famous through the writings of Clement Scott. Some of those grand Edwardian properties survive with their original mature gardens, featuring specimen trees that require expert care.

The cliffs at Overstrand are subject to ongoing coastal erosion, which creates a challenging environment for cliff-top and cliff-edge trees. We are experienced in assessing trees in these precarious positions, identifying risk and recommending the appropriate management - whether that is monitoring, reduction or removal. We work closely with the Environment Agency guidelines when trees are near the cliff edge.
